All shook up...

Well...I've moved to myspace...interesting as that is...I"m sure if you search for me, you'll be able to find me there!

So what else is new...

Haley is engaged to Brent Giles. They are planning a March 16, 2007 wedding in Kalamazoo, MI. Hooray for my sister finding the love of her life!

I have been hired as the Associate Director for Emergent...not just contracted for summertime...so YEAH!  I love college students!

I've met someone...he's phenomenal and I truly feel blessed that the Lord has drawn us together. Amidst the sea of confirmation from the Lord, I am overwhelmed by God's attention to the littlest details of my life.  I've prayed for a man exactly like Dennis and I really believe that the Lord has honored my waiting and perseverence with his goodness and by showing his love to me through Dennis. I"m sure I'll have pics posted in a few weeks of Dennis and I in case anyone would like to see what God's been up to in my life...

For now...here he is...

Congratulations again to Jim and Lisa...you tied the knot today!  It was a great time to catch up with some old friends, meet some new people with connections to RBC (I profane of calling it Kuyper), and to light sparklers in the dining hall at the college.  And while I dislike going to weddings as a single, I also have the freedom to float around to different tables and groups and to leave when I want...so it's all good.   I'm just glad that Jessica Z. is so tall that she caught the bouquet...because if she would have missed it, I would have had a wad of fake flowers in my hands...which makes it difficult to be the "next to get married" when you have no bf...lol!  Also, I'm sure panda will post it, but the pastor had some hilarious slip-ups with the repeating of the vows...even to the point that Lisa pledged her life and love to Jim aka her "wife"...let's just say that gender bending now means alot more!

Well the sparklers today reminded me that it's almost the 4th of July!  Wow...summer is flying and I am SO not ready to start thinking about classes again...I hope this month slows down for me!  Tomorrow night, I'm going to fireworks with a new friend and I'm sure it'll be a good time.  I've never been to watch fireworks with just one other person...I usually am in a group or with my family, so it will be a new experience for me.  Tomorrow is also my first official day of non-training in the ER at the hospital...should be interesting!

Much love!

Oh, and happy Dad's day to all the dads out there.  For those who aren't dads and have the potential to be...happy future dad's day...for those who aren't dads nor should they ever consider perpetuating their dna...ignore today, disregard all hallmark stores, and forget I said anything at all!

AWOL

I just seem to be too busy to post here...but here's a quick update for those of you who read this (but never call to talk to me):

I'm still working at the hospital, but as of next week I am moving out of Transport and into the Emergency Room - hooray for the ER!  I will be working with patient admisions and insurance.  Basically, I'll be the person dealing with anything and everything that walks into the front doors of the hospital...dangerous, but always lively (so I hear)...I'll let you know!

Also, I'm the Director of the college ministry at my church.  It's gonna be a good summer...I'm getting paid to hang out with friends and people my age...kinda cool...but something just doesn't seem right about it!  He he he :)

As for the rest of life...social, romantic, health...it's all going according to God's plan (and timing).  I'm very social by virtue of my jobs...so that's cool.  I've been on a few dates, have a few "prospects" but that's up to God, now isn't it?  I keep waiting!  Health...112lbs down and still going...go me!

Love y'all!  Let me know how you are!

I just want to praise the Lord for all He is doing and all that He has done for my friend Jeffrey.  Jeff is an army sargent currently stationed in Kuwait until at least October, possibly longer since his unit was asked to volunteer for an extended tour.  I have been praying for Jeff for a long time and he recently sent me pictures of his baptism!  While many are baptized as infants, we must also recognize the sign and seal of receiving baptism as a believer in Christ.  I praise God for Jeff's decision to take his relationship with the Lord to the next level, claiming God's promises for himself!  If you could pray for him as well, I know that he is under alot of stress with being so far from home in a foreign land, fighting a seemingly endless war, and missing friends and family.  I am reminded of how the bible tells of how times of testing and trial in the desert was God's way of shaping and preparing those he was going to use for some great service - the Israelites before reaching the promised land, Moses before the exodus, even Jesus before his ministry began went into the desert for 40 days to fast and pray.  Pray for his relationship with Jesus to become stronger every day and that this experience in the desert would strengthen him for God's future plans for his life, whatever they may be.
